Trimma multiclitellum Allen, 2015

  • Holotype (unique): WAM P.34319-024.

Type locality: Alotau, Papua New Guinea, 4.8 km east of main wharf, 10° 18.256’S, 150° 24.768’E, 17.5 m depth.

Etymology: The species is named multiclitellum (from the Latin: multi, many and clitella, saddle) with reference to the distinctive markings of this fish.
