• Edbakerellidae: replacement name for Meyerellidae (preoccupied name) published by André (2004)
• Edbakerellidae anew replaced by Triophtydeidae (oldest avalaible name — See Walter et al. (2009: 244–245)
• Unavailable name according to Theron et al. (2012: 257)

Notes

• The subfamily Triophtydeinae was erected by André (1979: 202).
• "Meyerellinae [old name for the Edbakerellinae] and Triophtydeinae could be combined as a single group" suggested André (1979: 202).
• The subfamily Triophtydeinae was raised to full family rank by André & Fain (2000) after cladistic analyses.
• No fossil record according to Dunlop et al. (2020: 77).
