Holotype: lost sensu Brygo (1987).
Neotype: ZMUT Sa185, subadult ♀. [designated by Weijola et al. (2017: 441)]
Type locality: “port Praslin de la Nouvelle-Irlande”, redesigned by neotype designation to “~1 km south of Kumium village on the south-west coast of New Ireland (-4.187° S, 152.690° E)” by Weijola et al. (2017: 441).
