լկնիմ
Old Armenian
Etymology
Ačaṙyan leaves the origin open. According to J̌ahukyan, probably from Proto-Indo-European *lēgn-, from the root *(s)lēg- (“to let go; weak, feeble; loose; dissolute, lewd”). Among the cognates compare especially Ancient Greek λάγνος (lágnos, “lecherous, lustful”), Swedish slåk (“morally frivolous woman, slut”), Middle Dutch lak (“lustful”). See լոկ (lok) for more.
