交霊 (hiragana こうれい, rōmaji kōrei)

Of the two spellings 降霊 and 交霊, the former implies more of a sense of summoning, and the latter more of a sense of exchange or communication.

to call, contact, or communicate with the spirits of the dead, to act as a medium
