First attested in the "Gyerim Yusa" 계림유사 (gyerimyusa), 1103, as 朴擧 박거 (bakgeo) [1] First attested in the Hunmin jeongeum haerye (訓民正音解例 / 훈민정음해례), 1446, as Middle Korean 밥 (bap). [2]
