Etymology
From *h₃rinéHti (“move”), present of *h₃er-. Related to Proto-Albanian *rina (“cloud(s)”) (modern re (“cloud(s)”)), Illyrian *rhinos (“fog, mist”), Proto-Slavic *rinǫti (“to push, shove”), Aeolic Greek ὀρῑ́νω (orī́nō, “to move”).[1]
