   What would you do if this were the last day of your life?

• The adjective is prepositioned, as above, and remains invariable. The declined forms are rare. They are only used without a following noun, as in: Din hija l-aħħarija. (“This is the last one.”) Even in this case, however, one would normally say: Din hija l-aħħar waħda.
