aizstāvība f (4th declension)

1. (law) defense (a rebuttal to the prosecution in a court of law; the lawyer or lawyers who defend the accused)

   aizstāvības runa ― defense speech

   aizstāvības liecinieki ― defense witnesses

   aizstāvim jāizlieto visi likumā norādītie aizstāvības līdzekļi un paņēmieni ― the defender must exhaust all means and methods of defense indicated by law
