alunga
Romanian
Etymology
From a Vulgar Latin root **allongāre, from Latin longe. Other theories suggest it deriving straight from Latin elongare. Compare Italian allungare, Catalan alunyar, French éloigner, allonger; cf. also Spanish and Portuguese alongar.
