Usage notes
- It is declined according to the noun phrase it is applied to:
- Ezekben a házakban magyarok laknak. ― In these houses, Hungarian people live.
- Because ez takes a definite article (the) and van (is, to be) is omitted in cases of qualification, some terms are ambiguous:
- "Ez a ház" can mean both "This house" as a phrase, and "This is the house" as a whole sentence.
