reor

Latin

Etymology

Perhaps from Proto-Italic *rēōr, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂reh₁- (to put in order), in which case it would be cognate with Ancient Greek ἀριθμός (arithmós, a number), Old Irish rad (to say), Albanian radhë (queue, row), Old Church Slavonic радити (raditi, to care for), Sanskrit राध्नोति (rādhnoti, to succeed) and Ossetian рад (rad, peace).
