Etymology
văcar + -eață, or possibly a Vulgar Latin *vaccaricia, from vaccaricius (“of cattle”), from Latin vacca. Compare Aromanian vãcãreatsã, Italian vaccareccia, Spanish vaquerizo, vaqueriza, also the French place-name Vacheresse, and the Italian place-name Vacareccia.
