Etymology
A z- prefixed form of varrë, from Proto-Albanian *varsa, from Proto-Indo-European *u̯ers (“to drag on the ground”). Compare Hittite [Term?] (/u̯arš/, “pluck, reap”), Ancient Greek ἔρρω (érrhō, “go away, disappear”), Latin verro (“to drag, to sweep”), Old Norse vǫrr (“stroke”), Latvian vârsms (“heap of corn, grain”)[1].
