There are 355,710 records for 2006. More information on participation is available in the States Conducting Surveillance by Year table . The data files are provided in ASCII and SAS Transport formats. SMART BRFSS and BRFSS GIS Maps data and documentation are also available for this data year.

This file was exported from SAS V8.2 in the XPT transport format. This file contains 302 variables. This format can be imported into SPSS or STATA. Please note: some of the variable labels get truncated in the process of converting to the XPT format so they may be slightly different from what is on the SASOUT06.SAS program.
2006 Dual Version Questionnaire Data Sets
The dual questionnaire data sets contain the data from the states which conducted dual questionnaires and used optional modules in 2006.
2006 BRFSS Supplement: County Level Variables
This is a SAS data set with 3,143 county level data records for the 22 county level variables plus the state and county identifier variables needed to merge the county variables with the 2006 BRFSS file.
