Resources and Tools for Public Health Practitioners
- CORIDOR is an online resource portal designed to advance chronic disease prevention and health promotion activities by providing easy access to credible, evidence-based and practical chronic disease prevention tools in one location. The resources included are primarily practice-based and represent science and practice promoted by CDC and CDC funded partners to address chronic diseases. The site is available to everyone and provides an easier and faster way to identify resources across chronic diseases and risk factors.
- Community Health Online Resource Center (CHORC) is a searchable database populated with webinars, model policies, toolkits, guides, fact sheets, and other practical materials to help implement environmental changes to prevent disease and promote healthy living.
- Chronic Disease State Policy Tracking System is a state-based searchable database that provides policy information for preventing and controlling chronic diseases.
- The Guide to Community Preventive Services (Community Guide) is a free, evidence-based web resource to help you choose programs and policies to improve health and prevent disease in your community.
- Centers for Training and Technical Assistance Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health help develop professional skills, evidence-based programs, and policy action needed to build healthier communities.
- Center for Training and Research Translation (Center TRT) University of North Carolina, Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Center TRT’s competency-based training model supports the skill development of public health practitioners working in state and community nutrition, physical activity, and obesity prevention.
