Subject: Meeting for All Respirator Manufacturers to be Held on April 13, 2005

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL), Respirator Branch, is announcing a meeting for all respirator manufacturers to be held on April 13, 2005, at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel, 7 Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. An agenda is being developed and will be posted in the near future. The meeting will start at 11:00 a.m. and will adjourn by 5:00 p.m.

Topics to be addressed include discussion of the Standard Application Procedures (SAP) comments, moving forward to implement the release of the procedures, new NPPTL and Respirator Branch organizational structures, and follow-up on replacement documents.

All manufacturer representatives, manufacturer application preparers, and other interested parties are welcome to attend.

Interested parties should make hotel reservations directly with the Sheraton Station Square (412/261-2000 / 1-888-325-3535) before the cut-off date of March 25, 2005. You must reference the NIOSH/NPPTL Meeting to receive the special group rate of $85 per night. Driving directions to the hotel are enclosed.
