Subject: Time extension to submit comments on the Total Inward Leakage program for half-mask air-purifying particulate filtering respirator certification

Due to the comments and responses received regarding the June 26, 2007 Public Meeting on the proposed Total Inward Leakage (TIL) program for half-mask air-purifying particulate filtering respirator certification, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has elected to extend the deadline until Friday, August 31, 2007, to submit comments to the NIOSH Docket Office on this subject matter.

Reference Docket # NIOSH 036 for all submissions related to this topic. Interested persons or organizations are invited to participate in this process by submitting written views, arguments, recommendations, and data. Comments are invited on any topic related to this proposal. The June 26, 2007 public meeting presentations are available on the NIOSH web site through this link .

Comments submitted by e-mail or mail should be addressed to the “NIOSH Docket Officer” and should identify the author(s), return address, and a phone number, in case clarification is needed. Comments can be submitted by e-mail to: niocindocket@cdc.gov. If submitting comments by e-mail, they may be provided as e-mail text or as a Word file attachment.
