Your physical space should be set up with safety as the top priority, but never assume all is as it should be. Keep the ‘big picture’ in mind, always prepare as if something could go wrong. It is up to you to manage details that ensure the safety of the healthcare provider. Survey the donning and doffing areas and do not be afraid to make suggestions which will help clinicians identify and avoid potential protocol breaches.
