Want to duplicate items in your inventory in Oblivion? There's a little trick to it -- you just have to get some arrows, start an action, and unequip or equip your arrows in the middle of it. Then all you have to do is find the item you want to duplicate and drop it. Who knew it would be so easy?

Steps

  1. 1
Get a bunch of arrows of any type.
  2. 2
Throw a punch, swing your sword, draw your bow, or use your staff. While the action is still in motion, enter the inventory menu.

  3. 3
Unequip or equip your arrows two times. A message will appear saying you cannot change weapons while attacking.
  4. 4
Find the item you wish to duplicate and drop it. Now, when you exit the inventory, the item you dropped to duplicate will appear, and many more will come into being off that item, and fall to the ground.

AFTER PATCH 1.2

  1. Have multiples of a scroll, you can buy 16 of a scroll in the Mystic Emporium.
  2. Go to your menu(B) and click on the scrolls, TWICE. You will not get the message.
  3. Drop the item that you have less of. It will appear.
  4. Pick the dropped item up and repeat as many times as desired. (Note: Switching items after a few times helps speed up process)
  5. You could also press and hold (A) as if you were using the scroll, then go to the item you want to duplicate, drop it (X), then let go of (A), close your menu and there you go!

Warnings

  • The arrows glitch will no longer work with the recent 1.2 patch aka the Shivering Isles patch, but that patch will enable the scrolls glitch.

  • If you have too many of an item (like 300 grand soul gems), you will probably get over encumbered.

  • This glitch has been known to occasionally mess up the game, sometimes to the point of completely wiping the games memory.

  • Your screen goes a bit static if you do it to much (one tip- try duplicating thousands of watermelons into a big empty street. The game will eventually freeze!)
