Method 2 of 2:

Enchanting Your Weapon from Scratch

  1. 1
Loot enemies, chests, and other containers to find runestones. You will need one Potency rune, one Essence rune, and one Aspect rune. You need one of each to make a glyph. If you want to make more than one glyph, you need to find multiple runes of each type.
    • The runes have the following traits: Potency affects level, Essence affects what the rune does, and Aspect affects the quality.
  2. 2
Locate an Enchanting Table in any major city. Enchanting tables appear as a series of crystals on your map. They are usually found within any Mages Guild building.
  3. 3
Activate the Enchanting Table. Do this by walking up to it and hitting the A button. A list of your current runes will appear on the screen.
  4. 4
Create a glyph. Pick a rune in each category (Potency, Essence, and Aspect—you can check under each rune for the effect it will have). Once selected, hit the A button to craft your runes into a glyph.
    • If you have enough runes for more glyphs, continue making them.
  5. 5
Open your Weapon inventory menu. Hit the “Start” button, scroll down to “Inventory,” and select “Weapons” in your inventory menu. This is where all your current weapons are.
  6. 6
Find the weapon you want to enchant and scroll down to it. Press the Y button to open the action menu for this weapon.
  7. 7
Enchant the weapon. Select “Enchant” from the list of actions by hitting the A button over it, and a list will pop up showing your current glyphs. Hit the A button on a glyph to add it to your weapon. Your weapon will now be enchanted with the glyph you made.
    • Enjoy your newly enchanted weapon. You can mix and match runes to create even more powerful glyphs.
