Walmart is beginning to realize that their prices may not beat those of some competitors. With their new Savings Catcher Program, they are willing to accept the consequences in order to get your business. However, to get them to work to find you better prices so you can shop again with a coupon in hand, you need to enter the receipts first off. If you are near a PC, you can easily enter these receipts into your account. If you'd like to input them, then this article can give you these details.

Steps

  1. 1
Visit the Walmart Savings Catcher website and log in to your Walmart online account. Have your store receipt ready with you.
  2. 2
Click the box that says "TC#" below the words "Enter new receipt" on the right side of the page. The TC number is the complete 20 digit barcode number of the receipt.

Walmart's receipts never have letters in them. Sometimes, numbers appear to be letters, such as the letter "O" could be the number 0, as well as the "S" and 3, and a few others.
  • Question
The bottom of my receipt was torn off, so I don't have that number. Is there another way?

Yes! Walmart has an online "Find Store Receipts" tool on their website that allows you to get a copy of your receipt. You'll need to provide your store's zip code, purchase date, total receipt amount, card type you used, and last 4 digits of the card number you used. That should give you the bottom part of the receipt.

Warnings

  • Realize that few Walmart register clerks know how to ring them up, but the cashier instructions are on the emailed page containing the coupon barcode. They may end up requesting help, but it's there in black and white what they should do.

  • Although Walmart's Savings Catcher is good at finding lower prices than theirs, if all the products on your list tend to be just Walmart-brand (Great Value) items, there's no point, as no other stores will carry their brands. They don't compare their prices to their sister store, Sam's Club.

  • For the receipts to be processed through the Savings Catcher, the Walmart online site says that it could take 72 hours from entry for the receipt to be processed. Be patient! It could also take up to 24 from the time you request your coupon to the time the coupon is officially sent to you. (The coupons at the register act as Shopping cards, so be prepared to receive the paper back).

  • You can't enter any more than 7 receipts per week, no matter if you entered part of them by their smartphone apps and part by PC, they won't allow you to enter more than 7. Their weeks start on a Monday and end on the following Sunday [1]
