Steps
On Christmas Eve
-
1Prepare the night before. To find out what you'll need, look at the remainder of this article and put them in your bedroom or wherever you’ll be getting ready.
-
2Get a small storage bin and put all of your supplies in it. Make sure to put it next to your bed.Advertisement
-
3Take a shower and get ready for bed like you usually do, but don't do your hair yet.
-
4Brush out your hair and put it into two braids while your hair is still damp. Put any softener product in it (optional). Make sure your braids aren’t too tight, as sleeping in tight braids could damage your hair.
-
5Put your Christmas pajamas in the dryer. For a special touch, spray a sugar cookie, pine needle, or peppermint body spray to give it that specific scent.
-
6Get dressed and make sure that you have everything you need in your bin.
-
7Cleanse your face, put on moisturizer, and if you have had a breakout, put on acne cream/wash.
-
8Put a cold washcloth over your eyes. (A wet paper towel will work too.) Rest it there for 5 minutes.
-
9Wear different holiday pajamas and hang the scented ones somewhere accessible.
-
10Go to sleep with braids in your hair and dream of sugar plums dancing in your head.
On Christmas Morning
-
1Wake up on your own. Don't set an alarm because you’ll become bored before you can wake up your parents.
-
2Undress and get into your hanging holiday pajamas. Spray some more body spray on them, just in case they lost some scent.
-
3Put on deodorant and/or body spray. You don’t only want to look good but smell good.
-
4Place concealer under your eyes and on any blemishes. Then, put on one coat of mascara. You want to look natural, not like you're going out to a party.
-
5Take out the damp braids and brush out your hair again. You can decide whether to curl, straighten, or leave your hair natural. Plug in your hair appliance and carefully create loose curls or a straight hair look. You can also put it up into a ponytail or bun, or even leave it in a braid!
-
6Apply more body lotion, cleanse your face and apply moisturizer.
-
7Take off any remaining nail polish and paint your nails in festive Christmas colors or if you want, do a simple French tip design.
