  • Question
If I use nail polish remover to get a certain color like red or black off my nails, what if the color does not come off all the way?

It's okay if it doesn't come off all the way. You can just cover it up with another color of polish. If you're going to keep your nails short, you can lightly buff the surface of the nail. If you're growing your nails out, buffing them buffs away layers of the natural nail, making it weaker.

Fill your sink with hot water, and add a couple drops of antibacterial soap. Scrub the nail file, and rinse with warm water. Set out on a towel to dry, and it's good as new!

A regular emery board is fine, but a frosted glass file is faster and leaves a cleaner file so there's not so much clean up.
