Don't you love those little crunchy bits of partially popped popcorn in the bottom of the popcorn bowl? Unfortunately, there is typically only a handful of them in each bag. This article will teach you how to make your own half-popped popcorn.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons of popcorn kernels
- Salt
Steps
-
1Add the water to the pot and boil it. A fair amount of water will evaporate from the pot, so if needed, add extra. If you plan on doubling the number of kernels, only add two extra cups of water to the original four.
-
2Add the kernels to the pot and boil for 45 minutes. If you want your popcorn less crunchy, boil for 30 minutes.Advertisement
-
3Strain the kernels using the strainer and set them out to dry for around two to three hours.
-
4Pop the boiled kernels with any popcorn popper. Salt kernels to taste.
