Planting Carrots and Potatoes

    Obtain carrots or potatoes. Carrots and potatoes can be found in village gardens. When the carrots and potatoes are fully grown, click on them or press the right trigger button on the controller to break them with your hand or a sword. Each block with carrots produces multiple carrots. Walk over them to collect them.[1]
    • You can also find carrots by killing zombies or in shipwreck supply chests, and pillager outpost chests.
    • Don't eat them! You won't be able to grow what your character has consumed already.

    Craft a hoe. You can craft a hoe using a crafting table. Have to sticks and two blocks or bars of the material of your choice, and select them, or place them in the crafting grid in the following positions:

    • Place a wood plank block, stone block, iron bar, or diamond in the upper-middle space, and the upper-left space.
