This article will teach you how to properly use an airsoft high-capacity magazine.

Steps

  1. 1
Pour BBs into the magazine. This can be done by opening the trap door usually found at the top of the magazine. Then pour high quality BBs into the magazine. Make sure to pour only enough. Do not over pour, as this could jam the magazine. Then shut the trap door tight.
  2. 2
Load the BBs into the loading chamber. To do this, wind the wheel found at the bottom of the magazine and listen until you hear a different noise than before. This noise indicates how many more times to wind the magazine. Wind the wheel 3 more times to put pressure on the BBs so they will actually go up into the airsoft gun instead of sinking back into the magazine from gravity.

  3. 3
Place the magazine into the airsoft gun and fire!
  4. 4
Reloading the magazine. Once no more BBs are coming out of the barrel, and the airsoft gun is still firing (AKA dry-firing), repeat the previous two steps.
  5. 5
Refill Magazine. Repeat the first step.

  • Question
How do I take out the magazine from an airsoft gun?

They're not all the same, but the most common form of magazine release is found near the safety, and when pressed it ejects the magazine. Be prepared to catch it, because sometimes it will fall out onto your foot or the floor!
  • Question
Do I have to cock an AEG after every shot?

AEG means automatic electric gun, so no, you do not need to cock it after every shot. It will need a form of battery, however, so keep that in mind.

Warnings

  • Use good quality BBs. Do not use BBs that you can find at sporting goods stores. These BBs are usually cheaply made and can literally break in half under the spring pressure. Which in the end, will give you a jam. Its better to use 5-10$ more on good quality bbs, than to break your gun.

  • Do not overfill BBs into the magazine. This forces BBs to escape into the loading chamber when closing the trap door. This can permanently damage the magazine.

  • Unfortunately, when it comes to High-capacity magazines, biodegradable BBs will snap in half under the spring pressure, which once again, will jam the magazine. You can use bio BBs if you don't want piles of small white pellets all over your yard after 4 years of airsofting) but it's highly recommended that you don't use them, in general.
