2023 Des Moines mayoral election
The 2023 Des Moines mayoral election will be held on November 7, 2023, with a runoff on December 5 if necessary.[1] It will elect the mayor of Des Moines, Iowa. The election will be officially nonpartisan. Incumbent mayor Frank Cownie decided to retire rather than run for re-election to a historic sixth term in office.[2]
