Atwater, Saskatchewan

Atwater (2016 population: 30) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Fertile Belt No. 183 and Census Division No. 5. The village is approximately 45 km southeast of the City of Melville on Highway 629.

Atwater incorporated as a village on August 12, 1910.[1]

With a land area of 1.84 km2 (0.71 sq mi), it had a population density of 14.7/km2 (38.0/sq mi) in 2021.[4]

In the 2016 Census of Population, the Village of Atwater recorded a population of 30 living in 14 of its 16 total private dwellings, a -3.3% change from its 2011 population of 31. With a land area of 1.79 km2 (0.69 sq mi), it had a population density of 16.8/km2 (43.4/sq mi) in 2016.[5]
