Central District (Fanuj County)

The Central District of Fanuj County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان فنوج) is in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Fanuj.[3][4]

At the National Census in 2006, the region's population (as a part of the former Fanuj District of Nik Shahr County) was 27,291 in 6,001 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 32,938 people in 7,894 households.[6] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 35,977 inhabitants in 9,175 households, by which time the district had separated from the county to establish Fanuj County.[2]
