Central District (Golshan County)

The Central District of Golshan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان گلشن) is in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Jaleq.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, the region's population (as a part of the former Jaleq District of Saravan County) was 18,114 in 2,928 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 22,546 people in 3,848 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 27,937 inhabitants in 5,522 households.[2]

In 2019, Jaleq District was separated from Saravan County to form Golshan County. It was then divided into the Central and Kalleh Gan Districts. Nahuk Rural District was transferred to the Central District of Saravan County.[3]
