Central District (Miyan Jolgeh County)

The Central District of Miyan Jolgeh County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان میان‌جلگه) is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Eshqabad.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population (as a part of the former Miyan Jolgeh District of Nishapur County) was 25,440 in 6,380 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 26,582 people in 7,546 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 27,214 inhabitants in 8,194 households.[2]

In February 2023, Miyan Jolgeh District was separated from Nishapur County to establish Miyan Jolgeh County. The existing Eshqabad and Ghazali Rural Districts, and the city of Eshqabad were made a part of the new Central District. Belharat District was established, with two rural districts, including the newly formed Salari Rural District.[3]
