Central District (Shiraz County)

The Central District of Shiraz County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان شیراز) is in Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shiraz.

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 1,442,842 in 372,838 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 1,625,807 people in 461,209 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 1,788,411 inhabitants in 543,807 households.[2]
