Chaboksar

Chaboksar (Persian: چابكسر, also romanized as Chāboksar and Chābuksār)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Chaboksar District of Rudsar County, Gilan province, Iran, and also serves as the administrative center for Siahkalrud Rural District.

At the 2006 census, its population was 7,891 in 2,270 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 6,994 people in 2,229 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 8,224 people in 2,750 households.[2]

Climate

Chaboksar has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: Cfa, Trewartha: Cf), with warm, humid summers and cool, damp winters.
