Chapakrud Rural District (Persian: دهستان چپكرود) is a former administrative division of Gil Khuran District of Juybar County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital was the city of Kuhi Kheyl.[3]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 9,465 in 2,334 households.[4] There were 9,697 inhabitants in 2,769 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 9,968 in 3,191 households. The largest of its 18 villages was Kord Kola, with 1,792 people.[2]

In 2023, Chapakrud Rural District was divided into Chapakrud-e Gharbi and Chapakrud-e Sharqi Rural Districts.[6]
