Chapar Khaneh Rural District

Chapar Khaneh Rural District (Persian: دهستان چاپار خانه)[3] is in the Central District of Khomam County, Gilan province, Iran.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Khomam District of Rasht County) was 11,620 in 3,439 households.[5] There were 10,774 inhabitants in 3,537 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 9,967 in 3,542 households. The largest of its 15 villages was Fashtakeh, with 1,901 people.[2]

In August 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Khomam County and divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Khomam as its capital and only city.[4]
