Khomam County

Khomam County (Persian: شهرستان خمام) is in Gilan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Khomam.

At the 2006 census, the region's population (as the former Khomam District of Rasht County) was 52,050 in 15,059 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 53,600 people in 17,492 households.[4] At the 2016 census, there were 54,860, in 18,948 households.[2]

In August 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Khomam County and divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Khomam as its capital and only city.[5] In March 2023, the village of Chukam in Chukam District was elevated to the status of a city.[6]
