Charam-e Kohneh

Charam-e Kohneh (Persian: چرم كهنه; also known as Charam)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Charam Rural District of the Central District of Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4][5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 991 in 248 households, when it was in Kabud Gonbad Rural District).[6] The following census in 2011 counted 804 people in 248 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 674 people in 231 households.[2]

After the census, Charam Rural District was established in the Central District and Layen Rural District was established in the newly formed Hezarmasjed District.[4][5]
