Ciudad Constitución Airport

Ciudad Constitución Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto de Ciudad Constitución); officially Aeropuerto Nacional Capitán Jaime Emilio Real Cossio (Capitain Jaime Emilio Real Cossio National Airport) (IATA: CUA, ICAO: MMDA) is a small airfield located 6 km east of Ciudad Constitución, Comondú Municipality, Baja California Sur state, Mexico. It replaced the old Ciudad Constitución Airport located 4.5 mi (7 km) west of the actual airfield. The airport handles both commercial and general aviation, mostly within the region. It is served by regional airline Aereo Servicio Guerrero.[1]

The airport is owned by the Municipality of Comondú Government. In October 2007, the airline Aereo Servicio Guerrero was authorized to use and manage the airport land and facilities. On July 27, 2012, the airfield was named "Captain Jaime Emilio Real Cossio National Airport" in honor of the aviator pilot who was born in Villa Constitución.[2]
