At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as three rural districts of Ziviyeh District) was 17,169 in 3,358 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 15,009 people in 3,457 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 12,946 inhabitants in 3,358 households, by which time the rural districts had been separated from the district in the establishment of the new Emam District.[2]
