Qaleh Kohneh, Saqqez

Qaleh Kohneh (Persian: قلعه كهنه, also Romanized as Qal’eh Kohneh and Qal‘eh-ye Kohneh)[3] is a village in Saheb Rural District of Ziviyeh District, Saqqez County, Kurdistan province, Iran. The village is populated by Kurds.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 546 in 109 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 480 people in 118 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 462 people in 131 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
