Esfanjan, East Azerbaijan

Esfanjan (Persian: اسفنجان, also Romanized as Esfanjān)[3] is a village in Sahand Rural District of the Central District of Osku County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,660 in 1,060 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,832 people in 1,206 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,544 people in 1,168 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
