Gavrud Rural District (Persian: دهستان گاورود)[3] is in Muchesh District of Kamyaran County, Kurdistan province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 11,304 in 2,659 households.[4] There were 10,754 inhabitants in 2,942 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 6,459 in 1,927 households. The largest of its 11 villages was Tay, with 1,489 people.[2]
