Grassland, Alberta

Grassland is a hamlet in northern Alberta, Canada within Athabasca County.[3] It is on Highway 63, 151 kilometres (94 mi) northeast of Edmonton.

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Grassland had a population of 46 living in 20 of its 42 total private dwellings, a change of -32.4% from its 2016 population of 68. With a land area of 1.45 km2 (0.56 sq mi), it had a population density of 31.7/km2 (82.2/sq mi) in 2021.[2]

As a designated place in the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Grassland had a population of 68 living in 26 of its 52 total private dwellings, a change of -27.7% from its 2011 population of 94. With a land area of 1.47 km2 (0.57 sq mi), it had a population density of 46.3/km2 (119.8/sq mi) in 2016.[4]
