Kalu, Kalat

Kalu (Persian: كالو, also Romanized as Kālū) is a village in, and the capital of, Hezarmasjed Rural District of Hezarmasjed District, Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 594 in 140 households, when it was in the Central District).[3] The following census in 2011 counted 545 people in 155 households.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 588 people in 181 households.[2]

After the census, Charam Rural District was established in the Central District and Layen Rural District was established in the newly formed Hezarmasjed District.[5][6]
