Kotij District

Kotij District (Persian: بخش کتیج) is in Fanuj County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Kotij.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as Kotij Rural District of the former Fanuj District of Nik Shahr County) was 11,168 in 2,449 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 12,699 people in 3,085 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 7,271 inhabitants in 3,085 households, by which time Fanuj District had been separated from the county to establish Fanuj County and Kotij Rural District was elevated to the status of a district divided into two rural districts.[2]
