Mahmeleh

Mahmeleh (Persian: محمله, also Romanized as Maḩmeleh; also known as Makhmaleh, Mohīleh, and Mūhīmīleh)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Mahmeleh District of Khonj County, Fars province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 537 in 126 households, when it was a village in Mahmeleh Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 560 people in 152 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 612 people in 174 households.[2]

After the census, the village of Mahmeleh was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
