Markiyeh (Persian: مركيه, also Romanized as Markīyeh)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Markiyeh Rural District of Mirza Kuchek Janghli District, Sowme'eh Sara County, Gilan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,625 in 416 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,323 people in 388 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,117 people in 409 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
