Ziabar

Ziabar (Persian: ضيابر, also Romanized as Ẕīābar, Zeyābar, Ẕīā’ Bar, and Zīyā’ Bar; also known as Ziabera)[3] is a village in Ziabar Rural District of Ziabar District, Sowme'eh Sara County, Gilan province, Iran, and serves as capital of the district.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,388 in 970 households, when it was in the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,490 people in 1,099 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,603 people in 1,193 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Ziabar District, which was divided into two rural districts that included the newly formed Baham Bar Rural District.[4]
