Mirchi Bada

Mirchi bada is a spicy Indian snack consisting of chili (mirchi) and potato or cauliflower stuffing battered and fried,[1] served hot with tomato sauce or occasionally with mint and tamarind chutney. Banana pepper and Bhavnagri chilliis used for making mirchi bada.[2]

The mirchi bada of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is famous, as the water in that region lends it a unique taste. It combines well with another Jodhpur speciality, mawa kachori, dipped in sugary syrup.[3][1]

Preparation

It is created by halving a mirchi (green chili), filling it with spices, a coating of mashed potatoes, and gram flour. Initially, the green chili is fried alongside the potatoes and spices, and subsequently, it is deep-fried with a layer of gram flour coating. then it served with chutney.[2]
